It poses its influences on Hong Kong through various means such as food, music and traditional Chiu Chow opera, etc. With a strong community bonding, especially from older generations, Chiu Chow people value their cultures, as well as their unique language Chiuchowese. Hence, organisations such as the Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organisations and the Hong Kong Chiu Chow Merchants Mutual Assistance Society Ltd. are developed. To preserve and promote their language and culture, some organisations create various campaigns. The Hong Kong Chiu Chow Festival is one of those.
